چکیده
Endoscopicretrogradecholangio-pancreatography with Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (LC) has been applied to the treatment of cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis. However, there are some limitations. Patients in this group adopt Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Common Bile Duct Exploration (LEBDE), Endoscopic Nasobiliary Drainage (ENBD) and primary common bile duct closure to treat cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis. This research found that the median follow-up time was thirty-three months (22-46 months). Only one patient had stone recurrence in the 23th month after surgery. Above all, LC, LEBDE, ENBD and primary common bile duct closure are effective surgical methods for treating cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis, which have clinical

Evaluation of ASGE Criteria for Prediction of Choledocholithiasis: Can Early Endoscopic Ultrasound Utilization Make the Prediction More Accurate?
Background: ASGE predictive model for the detection of choledocholithiasis is a reasonable approach for the management of patients with cholelithiasis. Surgeons do not pursue cholecystectomy without evaluation of the biliary system when laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging evidence show biliary duct involvement. Literature revisions reveal that the prediction of choledocholithiasis based on ...
متن کاملEndoscopic versus laparoscopic treatment for choledocholithiasis: a prospective randomized controlled trial
Background and study aims: Overall, 5 % to 15 % of patients undergoing cholecystectomy for cholelithiasis have concomitant bile duct stones, and the incidence of choledocholithiasis increases with age. There is no clear consensus on the best therapeutic approach (endoscopic versus surgical). Patients and methods: A prospective randomized controlled clinical trial was performed to compare three ...
متن کامل[Efficiency of laparoscopic vs endoscopic management in cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis. Is there any difference?]
BACKGROUND Concomitant cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis is a disease where incidence increases with age and can have serious complications such as pancreatitis, cholangitis and liver abscesses, but its management is controversial, because there are minimally invasive laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical procedures. OBJECTIVE To compare the efficiency in the management of cholelithiasis ...
متن کاملObstructive choledocholithiasis requiring intervention in a three week old neonate: A case report and review of the literature
The discovery of cholelithiasis in neonates is often incidental, however obstructing common bile duct stones are rare. Herein we report the case of a 3 week old neonate who presented with obstructive choledocholithiasis. The patient was treated conservatively with antibiotics and ursodeoxycholic acid but did not improve. He was therefore taken to surgery for cholecystectomy and stone extraction...

BACKGROUND The choledocolithiasis has an incidence of 8-20% in patients with cholecystolithiasis. The preoperative diagnosis guides the interventional treatment on the bile duct AIM To evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the laboratory markers and imaging studies for choledocholithiasis preoperatively. METHODS The study comprised 254 patients divided into two groups: the control gro...
